Kate Halls is a qualified English specialist, with a BA (2:1) and MA degrees from Lancaster University.

She completed her PGCE in Secondary English  at St Martin’s College, Lancaster and achieved Qualified Teacher Status in 2007.

In 2012 she completed a Level 4 NVQ in Advice and Guidance at Lancaster and Morecambe College.

After working in the FE sector for several years, in 2014 she was awarded Qualified Teacher: Learning and Skills Status by the Institute for Learning, and is still a full member of the Society for Education and training.

Kate has an enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the Disclosure and Barring Update Service. Details available on request.

In 2017, Kate completed her TSST (Teacher Subject Specialist Training) course in GCSE Mathematics, following six successful years of teaching and tutoring both Functional Skills and GCSE students in Mathematics.
